Casting Call for Universal Pictures 'Hobbs and Shaw'


The Universal Pictures Fast & Furious spinoff feature film "Hobbs and Shaw" will soon begin auditioning for new lead and supporting roles. The film centers on US Diplomatic Security Agent Luke Hobbs (played by Black Reel Awards nominee Dwayne Johnson) forming an unlikely alliance with Deckard Shaw (played by Critics Choice Award nominee Jason Statham). Golden Globe Award winner Idris Elba and Primetime Emmy Award nominee Vanessa Kirby have also joined the cast. Elba will play a villain, and Kirby will play MI5 agent and Statham's sister. "Hobbs and Shaw" will be directed by Screen Actors Guild Awards winner David Leitch from an original screenplay written by Chris Morgan and Gary Scott Thompson. Shooting will take place in Atlanta and New York, as well as various locations overseas beginning this Fall.

Talent can now video audition for the Universal Pictures feature film sequel "Hobbs and Shaw". There are roles open for males and females of various ages, including teens and kids. Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt will reprise their roles as Claire Dearing and Owen Grady respectively. Anyone interested in being considered for lead and supporting roles in "Hobbs and Shaw" can sign up to be submitted to the casting directors, and subsequently perform video and Skype auditions from any location. The fee for the submission service is a one time sign-up fee of $99. After your sign-up fee is received, you will then email in your photos (can be cell phone photos) and general information (contact information, age, height, weight, any special skills or activities, etc.) You will then be submitted to the casting team for "Hobbs and Shaw". Once the casting director contacts you, they will provide a script segment for you to create a self-made audition video. Talent will then email that video back to the casting director, and the process will continue with a live Skype audition. This service also includes submissions for other major feature films for acting roles, for one full year. Talent from any location, and any level of experience are being accepted. Those selected to join the cast will receive pay, transportation, and accommodations to the filming locations. There are a limited number of openings for this service.
