Open casting call for Steven Spielberg's West Side Story


The Twentieth Century Fox live-action musical feature film "West Side Story" has scheduled an open casting call in New York City. The casting director is casting THE SHARKS and THE JETS. "West Side Story" is a remake of the 1961 film about rival gangs in New York City. The original 1961 film was nominated for 11 Academy Awards and won 10, including Best Picture, becoming the record holder for the most wins for a movie musical.

Three-time Academy Award winner Steven Spielberg is directing "West Side Story" from an adapted screenplay written by two-time Academy Award nominee Tony Kushner based on the book by two-time Academy Award nominee Arthur Laurents. Spielberg is also producing along with Kevin McCollum and two-time Academy Award nominee Kristie Macosko Krieger.

Shooting on "West Side Story" will commence in July, 2019.

The Hulu series "Reprisal" is seeking males and females of all ages, to work as fully paid extras. Also needed are people with vehicles (not newer than 1995), and people with vintage motorcycles (not newer than 1980). The show is a hyper-kinetic revenge tale following a relentless femme fatale.
