Warner Bros./DC Comics feature film 'Joker' seeking extras


The Warner Bros./DC Comics feature film "Joker" is now seeking all types of people to work as fully paid extras. The film will center on how the popular comic book villain known as The Joker came to be. Shooting will take place for these scenes in mid-October, 2018. Academy Award nominee Todd Phillips (director and writer of "The Hangover Trilogy") is directing the project from a screenplay that he wrote with Academy Award nominee Scott Silver. Phillips will also produce along with Academy Award winner Martin Scorsese. "Joker" stars three-time Academy Award nominee Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur/Joker. Academy Award winner Robert De Niro and Primetime Emmy Award nominee Zazie Beetz have joined the cast. This project will be separate from the DC Extended Universe and will be part of a new film label by DC Comics and Warner Bros. "Joker" is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 4, 2019. This film is currently using the working title "Romeo".

"Joker" Extras Casting Call Details

The Warner Bros./DC Comics feature film "Joker" is seeking people of all ages and types to work as paid extras. You must be located near the shooting location to be considered for extra work. Shooting for these scenes will take place in Jersey City, NJ on September 30th and November 9th, and in Newark, NJ on October 15th and 16th.

Please email name, phone number, height, weight, and clothing and shoe sizes, and current picture/snapshot to romeo@gwcnyc.com. Please put "NJ Local Flyer" in the subject line of your email. The pay rate is $143 for 10 hours and you must have a valid ID to fill out a federal I9 form on set if you're selected.

"Joker" Speaking Role Casting Information

Talent interested in being considered for various speaking roles in "Joker" can now sign up to be submitted to the casting director, and subsequently perform video and Skype auditions from any location. The fee for the submission service is a one time sign-up fee of $99. After your sign-up fee is received, you will then email in your photos (can be cell phone photos) and general information (contact information, age, height, weight, any special skills or activities, etc.) You will then be submitted to the casting director for "Joker". Once the casting director contacts you, they will provide a script segment for you to create a self-made audition video. Talent will then email that video back to the casting director, and the process will continue with a live Skype audition. This service also includes submissions for other major feature films for acting roles, for one full year. Talent from any location, and any level of experience are being accepted.
